Camera Systems questions

Straight answers on coverage, storage and installs.

Still unsure? Talk to an engineer

How many cameras does an office need?

Most small and mid-size offices with one or two entrances, a lobby, a few hallways and parking need six to twelve cameras. We design from what actually needs coverage during the free walkthrough.

How long is footage stored?

It depends on storage, resolution and recording settings. Most of our installs keep 30 to 90 days, and cloud storage options extend retention without replacing local hardware.

Can I view my cameras remotely?

Yes. Secure remote access is set up during every install, so you can watch live and recorded video from a phone, tablet or browser.

Do cameras need special wiring?

Most commercial cameras run on network cable with Power over Ethernet, which carries data and power together. We reuse good existing cabling where we can and run new cable where needed.

Can you add cameras to our existing system?

Often, yes, if your current cameras and recorder are compatible. If they are outdated or proprietary, we recommend a replacement plan that fits your budget.

Where do you install camera systems?

Our low-voltage team installs across Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, Florida and Texas.
